Mr or Mrs

Bonjour!

Hi there!

I hope you're fine and are having a great and sunny weekend so far! :)

Lately, I've been busy filling up (an incredible amount of) boxes as we are moving very soon, which explains why I haven't been updating the blog for a while. I finally found some time this morning to scrapbook and I'm back to share what I came up with.

I used My Mind's Eye papers and embellies, mainly coming from the gorgeous Fancy That collection, and I played with a stencil, a gelato and some black ink on the background.

The pictures were taken yesterday at my eldest daughter' school fair. They both won prizes at the lotery and my little one chose these beautiful and becoming glasses... This is so her! ^^

Matériel / supplies:
- papiers / papers: Mahé, My Mind's Eye (Fancy That, Find Your Wings and Fly Up & Away).
- embellissements / embellishments: badges / flairs (My Mind's Eye-Fancy That), enamel shapes & alpha stickers (My Mind's Eye-On Trend), encre / ink (Izink Pigment Caviar), gelato (Faber-Castell Peach), stylo noir / black pen.

Merci beaucoup d'être passé aujourd'hui!
Thanks a lot for stopping by today!

Bonjour!

Hi!

Happy Sunday! I hope you had a lovely weekend. I had some time yesterday to scrap a picture taken on Santa Barbara's pier, during our trip to California last March.

The whole layout is based on the picture and I arranged the papers so that they follow the beam on which my daughter is walking, which gives a lopsided look to the page. I used papers, rubons and a flair from the MME Jubilee Sherbet collection and I did a bit of stitching for the rays around the photo and the frame on one half of the page.

The title comes from a French scout song that children sing when they go to summer camp. It roughly means:
"The best way to walk
Is definitely ours
Namely put one foot in front of the other
And do it all over again!".
Actually, we did visit and walk a lot back in California, to our eldest girl's utter despair... But, there again, it was quite sunny with lovely sceneries and we had many breaks and sugary treats to help us keep going!

Matériel / supplies:
- papiers / papers: Bazzill, My Mind's Eye (Jubilee Sherbet).
- embellissements / embellishments: thickers (American Crafts), badge et transferts / flair and rubons (My Mind's Eye-Jubilee Sherbet), sequins, fil / thread, stylo noir / black pen.

Thanks a lot for coming by today. And feel free to leave a few words: it would make my day!

Girls rock!

Bonjour!

Hi there!

Today I have another 11x8.5 layout to share with photos of the girls in the middle of a private show sponsored by Guitar Hero. :)

It's a very pink layout (did I ever tell you pink is my favorite color? ^^) on which I used a sheet of patterned paper I've had for a long time (from the Little Bo Peep collection by Crate Paper) and some end-of-life thickers. As I mentionned in another post, I'm really using up my stash as I haven't had the chance to do some scrap shopping for a little while!

Matériel / supplies:
- papiers / papers: Crate Paper (Little Bo Peep, Maggie Holmes Styleboard), Mahé.
- embellissements / embellishments: thickers (American Crafts), noeud / bow (Crate Paper-Maggie Holmes), ruban / ribbon (Celebrate), sequins, gelato (Faber-Castell Bubble Gum), fil / thread, stylo noir / black pen.

Merci de votre visite. Bonne journée!

Carnaval

Bonjour!

Hello!

Happy Monday!

I am back after a lovely and sunny weekend to share a layout with pictures of my little one wearing the hat she made at school for the school carnival. The title reads: "With you, everyday is a carnival". And it's true that we never get bored with this cheerful and lively little girl! ^^

To create this layout, I didn't use any patterned paper, which is quite unusual for me, but only bits of decorative tape, a doily, alpha stickers and thickers, a bit of cord, a stamp, ink and some thread for the frame I stitched all around the page.

Matériel / supplies:
- papiers / papers: Bazzill.
- embellissements / embellishments: thickers & chipboard (American Crafts), mots autocollants / alpha stickers (Kesi'Art; My Mind's Eye-Lost & Found Record It Heirloom, Sky's The Limit), decorative tape (Glitz-Hello Friend; My Mind's Eye-Cut & Paste Adorbs, Decorative Tape Sets Yellow & Grey, Pink & Charcoal, Sky's the Limit; Xica), cordelette / cord, napperon / doily (Dovecraft), tampon / stamp (Pink Paislee-Indigo Bleu), encre / ink (Izink Pigment Caviar, Versafine Onyx Black), fil / thread.

Merci beaucoup d'être passé aujourd'hui. Bonne journée!
Thank you so much for stopping by today. Have a great day!

La vie en rose

Bonjour!

Hi there!

I am back today to share my first 8.5x11 layout, all in My Mind's Eye goodies. I used another picture of the girls in their bath to which I added a black and white overlay using Pixlr-o-matic.

After placing strips of patterned papers with bits of decorative tape on each side on the background paper, I made stains using black ink and gesso. I then made a few stitches with pink thread and I added the photo along with a few embellishments (from the On Trend collection).

To create the title, I drew and cut the letters on a paper pad sheet on which I had printed a text I wrote about the girls. I added a touch of vibrant pink to them using a gelato and a wet paintbrush. Once the letters were dry, I went along the edges with a black pen.

I really enjoyed working with this size and I feel like it's the first page of many to come! :)

A bath for two

Bonjour!

Hello!

I hope you had a great weekend.

I am starting off the week with a new layout I want to share with you showcasing pictures of the girls in their bath. They just love this moment when they can play and have fun together in the water, all the more as it's only a weekend thing since, on week days, they have a shower to save some time. ^^

For this layout, I wanted to get a bit messy. So, I started with spreading two coats of gesso with a plastic card. Once dry, I used stamps and made stains with blue and black ink. I stitched some circles and made other ones using stoppers of different sizes and gold ink. I doodled a frame all around the page, layered the photos over pieces of printed papers and I finished by adding the title as well as a few sequins and enamel dots.

Matériel / supplies:
- papiers / papers: Basic Grey (Highline), My Mind's Eye (Sky's the Limit, The Sweetest Thing Lavender).
- embellissements / embellishments: thickers (American Crafts), découpe en papier / die cut (My Mind's Eye-Jubilee Sherbet), sticker (My Mind's Eye-On Trend), enamel dots (My Mind's Eye-Cut & Paste Adorbs, Sky's the Limit), découpe en bois / wood veneer (Studio Calico), tampons / stamps (American Crafts, Kaisercraft), encre / ink (Hero Arts, Izink Pigment Caviar & Gold, Versafine Smokey Gray), encre en spray / spray ink, sequins, gesso, fil / thread, peinture acrylique dorée / gold acrylic paint (Louvre), stylo noir / black pen.

Merci d'être passé et bonne journée!
Glad you came by today. Have a great day!
