Let's dance

Bonjour!

Hello!

I hope you had a nice weekend!

I'm starting off this new week with a colorful layout using Amy Tangerine Finders Keepers papers and lyrics from David Bowie's 'Let's Dance' that go really well with the pictures of my little one dancing on the beach last summer.

Like most of my projects, this page uses lots of paper, with flowers and leaves that I fussy cut from sheets of patterned paper. To make the borders of the triangles at the top and of the rectangle at the bottom of the page, I used the strips that come at the bottom of the 12x12 sheets of patterned paper. I adhered them, along with the pictures, with foam squares and I only used a tiny bit of glue on the flowers and the feathers to give dimension to the page.

Matériel / supplies:
- papiers / papers: American Crafts (Amy Tangerine Finders Keepers).
- embellissements / embellishments: thickers (American Crafts), découpe en bois / wood veneer (Pinkfresh Studio-Happy Things), stickers (Seven Paper-Baxter).

Merci de votre passage et à bientôt!

Little miss sunshine

Bonjour!

Hello!

How are you today?

I have another layout to share with you using the adorable Little You collection by Crate Paper and a sweet picture of my little one back when she was 10 months old. This is so her: always smiling and happy!

I played along with Heather Leopard's Sketchy Scrapper and was inspired by one of her sketches. I made a few changes though like, for instance, placing the picture in the middle of the page.

Et voici la page et le sketch d'Heather Leopard / And here are the layout and the sketch by Heather Leopard:

Matériel / supplies:
- papiers / papers: Bazzill, Crate Paper (Little You).
- embellissements / embellishments: alphabets (American Crafts thickers, Pink Paislee-C'est la Vie), ephemera (Crate Paper-Little You), noeud / fabric bow (Heidi Swapp), encre en spray / ink spray, gesso, fil / thread, stylo noir / black pen.

You + me

Bonjour!

Hi there!

I'm already back to share a 8.5x11 layout that I made this very morning. It's a simple page using one of my favorite color schemes, my beloved fussy cut flowers, a bit of ink and a selfie with me and the girls that I snapped during a walk on the beach a few weeks ago.

I started with spreading some Blush Color Shine on a piece of white cardstock using a paintbrush. Once dry, I placed the fussy cut flowers and adhered the picture with foam squares in the middle of the page. I used a puffy sticker for the title and I made a few stains with black ink. Finally, I sticked the rectangle of white cardstock on a piece of black corrugated paper using foam squares here again.

Matériel / supplies:
- papiers / papers: Bazzill, Crate Paper (Hello Love), carton ondulé / corrugated paper.
- embellissements / embellishments: puffy sticker (Crate Paper-Wonder), encre / ink (Color Shine Blush, Izink Pigment Caviar).

Merci de votre visite! :)

Mot d'amour

Bonjour!

Hello!

I'm popping in today to share a love card because love notes are not only for Valentine's Day!

I started with trimming the basis in a 12x12 sheet of patterned paper. I then made a slit using a craft knife at the top of the heart, following its edges, so as to slip a doily and a tag in it. To create the tag, I cut two rectangles, in slightly different sizes, in paper pad sheets and I adhered the smaller one on the other one with foam squares. I then added a bit of twine and the title using alpha stickers. To finish off the card, I adorned the heart with a fussy cut butterfly and an enamel heart.

Matériel / supplies:
- papiers / papers: Simple Stories (I Am, Vintage Bliss).
- embellissements / embellissements: alphabets autocollants / alpha stickers (Simple Stories-Vintage Bliss), enamel shape, napperon / doily (Artemio), twine (Docrafts), fil / thread.

Merci de votre passage et bonne journée!

Smile

Bonjour!

Hi!

I hope you had a nice weekend. :)

I'm starting off the week with a new 12x12 layout full of butterflies, hearts, ruffles and My Mind's Eye My Story supplies. It is centered on a picture of my eldest girl back when was 4 and her 'oops, I think I did something wrong' look...!

I started with spraying some light pink Color Shine on the cardstock. Once dry, I adhered a strip of ruffled tissue paper in the middle of the page and placed some journal cards over it. After stitching a frame on the photo with gold and pink thread, I sticked it on the paper tissue strip with foam squares and added a flair pin and die-cuts (coming from the journal card at the top of the layout). Finally, I added paper hearts that I drew, cut and then gently folded on either side of the paper tissue strip.

Matériel / supplies:
- papiers / papers: Bazzill, My Mind's Eye (My Story), papier de soie / tissue paper.
- embellissements / embellishments: cartes de journaling, badge et enamel shapes / journal cards, flair and enamel shapes (My Mind's Eye-My Story), encre / ink (Color Shine Blush), fil / thread.

Soar

Bonjour!

Hello!

I hope you had a nice week!

I'm popping in today to share a layout using a photo of the girls during a windy walk on the beach last week as well as Fancy Pants goodies.

I started with trimming a white cardstock to get a smaller square, I sewed its edges with pink thread and made stains using blue ink. I then sticked it on the blue cardstock with foam squares. I actually used foam squares on almost all the items of the page to create dimension. I fussy cut some flowers and birds in sheets of patterned paper and I placed them, along with die-cut letters, on either side of the picture. I made stains with black ink on the letters of the title to make them stand out a bit more.

Matériel / supplies:
- papiers / papers: Bazzill, Fancy Pants (Happy Place).
- embellissements / embellishments: lettres / letters (Fancy Pants-Office Suite), encre / ink (encre en spray / ink spray, Izink Pigment Caviar), fil / thread.

Merci beaucoup de votre attention. Je vous souhaite un excellent weekend!

Home is where my heart is

Bonjour!

Hi there!

I hope you're having a great weekend so far!

I finished a new layout last night and I'm stopping by today to share it with you. It's a 8.5x11 page using some Hello Love papers by Crate Paper and a selfie from a couple of years ago, when our little one was only a few months old.

To create this layout, I fussy cut some flowers and hearts in sheets of patterned paper, I used hand-cut letters for the title, I did a bit of stitching and made stains with black ink. I also used a piece of ruffled tissue paper to back the paper squares and the photo.

To make the journaling, I started with drawing a line ending with a heart at the bottom of the page. Then I pierced the paper following the pencil marks and erased them. I sewed the pattern with black thread and added the journaling along the stitched line.

Love

Bonjour!

Hi there!

How are you today?

I'm popping in to share a Valentine's Day card I made with Amy Tangerine papers. I'm playing along with Paper Issues' Take Five challenge for which you have to choose five items from a list and use them on a project. I picked the color red, the heart, patterned paper, the arrow and wood grain.

I started with folding a paper pad sheet in half to make the basis for the card. Then I trimmed a rectangle in a piece of patterned paper and stitched the edges with white thread. I drew and cut the letters in paper pad sheets and sticked them lightly on the basis, along with the stitched rectangle. I fussycut some flowers in a 12x12 paper sheet and placed them on either side of the card. Finally, I added the wood veneer pieces on two of the letters.

I'm really happy with how it turned out. I like its deconstucted look. Hope my Valentine will like it too!

- embellissements / embellishments: découpes en bois / wood veneer (Studio Calico), fil / thread.

Hello I love you

Bonjour!

Hello!

I have a new layout to share with you to start off this new week. It is centered on my eldest daughter and uses different My Mind's Eye collections.

First, I spread some gesso with a plastic card in the middle of the background paper. I cut strips in different paper pads and placed them, along with the pic, on the background paper, in a rectangle shape. I drew a frame around this paper rectangle with a pencil, pierced the strips and the photo following the pencil lines and then erased them. I stitched the paper strips separately, along with a couple of butterflies that I cut in a sheet of patterned paper. I then sticked them on the background paper making sure to form the frame. I added the picture, the title as well as a few embellies. I sticked the papers with only a tiny bit of glue and used foam squares on the photo, the title and some of the die-cuts to give dimension to the page. I just love the dreamy touch that foam squares add to my projects as they give the impression that the elements are floating on the page.

Matériel / supplies:
- papiers / papers: My Mind's Eye (Christmas on Market Street, Jubilee Tangerine, My Story, On Trend).
- embellissements / embellishments: découpes en papier / die-cuts (My Mind's Eye-Christmas on Market Street, Jubilee Mint Julep, My Story), enamel shape (My Mind's Eye-My Story), gesso, fil / thread.

Merci de votre visite. Je vous souhaite une excellente journée!
