Me revoici déjà avec une nouvelle page! Cette fois-ci, c'est au tour de la petite dernière d'être sur le devant de la scène avec des photos du réveillon de Noël. Le titre 'Little bopper' vient d'un surnom que lui donne sa grand-mère anglaise car elle adore danser et sauter.

Je profite à nouveau de quelques jours de vacances pour faire un peu de scrap. Je vous montre donc la page que j'ai faite hier soir. Moi qui suis d'habitude plutôt lente pour scrapper, je commence à faire des progrès! J'avoue que j'ai été aidée par le sketch de Ronda Palazzari pour le December Sketch Challenge sur le blog de My Mind's Eye.

J'ai étrenné la collection Lost & Found Record It Heirloom de My Mind's Eye que je trouve magnifique avec ses couleurs douces et ses touches pailletées. J'ai également utilisé du papier de soie, usé et déchiré les bords des papiers et fait quelques taches avec du vernis à ongles.

Once again, I took advantage of a few days off to do some scrapbooking. Here is the layout I managed to do last night. As I usually am a slow crafter, this is quite an achievement for me! I admit Ronda Palazzari's sketch for the December Sketch Challenge on the My Mind's Eye blog helped a lot!

I tried out the MME Lost & Found Record It Heirloom collection that I love with its soft colors and glittery touches. I also used some tissue paper, I gave a worn out look to the edges of the papers with my scissors and made a few stains with nail polish.

J'ai trouvé un peu de temps pour scrapper ce week-end. Voici donc ma page, qui m'aura pris deux heures (je crois bien que c'est un record de vitesse pour moi!), avec un peu de couture, quelques taches de gesso, des papiers et quelques embellissements. J'ai retouché ma photo avec Pixlr'o'matic.

Boo

Bonjour!

Me revoici après un trèèès long silence! Je n'avais pas eu le temps de scrapper depuis le mois d'août: le manque commençait à se faire sentir...! J'ai donc profité d'une semaine de vacances pour m'y remettre un peu.

J'ai choisi d'utiliser des photos toutes fraîches d'Halloween. La page est plutôt chargée: il fallait bien que je rattrape tout ce temps sans scrapper et, du coup, je me suis lâchée! Les grosses taches d'encre n'étaient pas prévues au programme: j'ai essayé de rattraper un gros accident d'encre... Je me suis amusée à faire des araignées avec des boutons et de la twine et des toiles d'araignée avec quelques points de couture.

Long time no see! I haven't had the time to do some scrapbooking since last August: no use to say I really started to miss it...! So I took advantage of a week holiday to play with my scrap supplies again.

I used some recent Halloween pictures. I must admit that my layout is quite busy: I just had to make the most of the little time I had to scrap so I kind of let my hair down a bit here! The big ink stains weren't planned at all: I actually tried to cover up an ink accident... I enjoyed making spiders with buttons and twine as well as spiders' web with some hand-stitching.

Anniversary card

La fin des vacances d'été approche, ce qui annonce pour moi le début d'une formation qui va durer l'année scolaire. Du coup, j'aurai moins de temps pour le scrap... Mais je compte bien me rattraper dès que j'en aurai l'occasion: c'est que j'ai encore plein de matériel qui m'attend bien sagement dans les placards! ;)

En attendant, je vous montre une carte que j'ai offerte à mon compagnon à l'occasion de nos 10 ans. Comme je n'ai pas de perforatrice coeur, j'ai utilisé des embellissements en bois comme gabarits. J'ai aussi distressé les bords des papiers avec de la Distress Ink Pumice Stone.

The summer holidays are coming to an end, which also means for me the beginning of a one-year training session and less time for scrapbooking... But I'll come back to it as soon as I get the opportunity: I still have lots of scrap supplies patiently waiting for me in the cupboards! ;)

Today, I wanted to share a card I offered my companion for our 10th anniversary. As I don't own a heart puncher, I used wood veneers for the heart patterns. I also inked the edges of the papers with some Distress Ink Pumice Stone.

Summer 13

Bonjour!

Me revoici aujourd'hui avec une page répondant au August Challenge du blog My Mind's Eye où il fallait faire un résumé de son été. Nous ne sommes pas partis en vacances mais on a essayé d'en profiter au maximum en faisant des activités avec les filles et en profitant du beau temps dès que possible. Il y a eu aussi quelques grands évènements pour les puces: la grande a perdu sa première dent et a fêté son 6ème anniversaire et la petite a commencé à marcher!

Une nouvelle fois, j'ai ponçé les photos et les papiers et fait quelques points de couture: on dirait bien que j'y prends goût, même si ça me prend un peu de temps! J'ai également retouché les photos avec Pixlr'o'matic.

I'm back with a layout I made following the August Challenge on the the My Mind's Eye blog. We had to make a recap of our summer. We didn't go on holiday this year but we tried to enjoy the sun and nice activities with the girls as much as possible. There were a few big events for them as well: our elder daughter lost her first tooth and turned 6 and the little one started to walk!

Once again, I sanded the photos and the papers and did some hand stitching: seems like I'm coming to like it after all, even though it takes me quite a while to do! I also retouched the pictures with Pixlr'o'matic.

Donne moi ta main

Ca y est: ma petite dernière marche toute seule comme une grande depuis le week-end dernier! ^^ Pour fêter ça, une petite page illustrant ce sujet avec une photo de mes deux puces où on peut voir le sourire radieux de Janelle, sûrement heureuse et fière de pouvoir faire comme sa grande soeur!

Pour aller avec le côté vintage des papiers, j'ai poncé et distressé leurs bords. Je me suis également une nouvelle fois essayée à faire quelques points de couture...

Big news today: my younger daughter finally walks on her own since last week-end! ^^ So, to celebrate this great event, here is another layout with a picture of my two girls where we can see Janelle's radiant smile. She was probably so happy and proud to be able to do like her big sister!

The title "Donne-moi ta main" means ' Give me your hand'. To go with the papers' vintage style, I sanded and distressed their edges. I also tried my hand at stitching again...
