Good Times

Hello there!

I hope you had a fantastic weekend! I'm starting off this new week with a happy page all about my girls. I used the Amy Tangerine Sunshine and Good Times collection and a sweet picture taken at the funfair a couple of years back.

J'espère que vous avez passé un bon weekend! Je commence cette nouvelle semaine avec une page pleine de gaieté consacrée à mes filles. J'ai utilisé la collection Sunshine and Good Times d'Amy Tangerine ainsi qu'une photo prise à la fête foraine il y a quelques années.

My idea for this layout was to create half circles on the edges of the page using paper hearts. So I started by drawing and cutting off hearts in several sheets of the Sunshine and Good Times 6x6 paper pad. I then arranged them at the top and at the bottom of the background paper so as to make semicircles.

Pour cette page, j'ai eu envie de créer des demi-cercles avec des cœurs en papier. J'ai donc commencé par tracer et découper des cœurs dans plusieurs feuilles du paper pad Sunshine and Good Times. J'ai ensuite placé mes cœurs en forme de demi-cercles en haut et en bas de la page.

Next I tucked the photo under the paper hearts and I added puffy stickers along the semicircles for the title. I then fussy cut pretty flowers from one of the Sunshine and Good Times patterned papers and I placed them on the edges of the page and under the picture.

J'ai inséré la photo sous les cœurs au centre de la page et j'ai ajouté des puffy stickers le long des demi-cercles pour le titre. J'ai ensuite découpé de jolies fleurs dans un papier à motif de la collection et je les ai placées sur les bords de la page et sous la photo.

I finished embellishing my layout with more paper hearts, a couple of wood buttons from the Shimelle Little by Little collection, some black enamel dots, and a few Sunshine and Good Times puffy hearts.  I just love the whimsy look those colorful hearts give to my layout!

J'ai fini d'embellir ma page avec d'autres cœurs en papier, deux boutons en bois de la collection Little by Little de Shimelle, quelques enamel dots noirs et des puffy stickers Sunshine and Good Times. J'aime beaucoup le côté bohème que ces cœurs colorés apportent à ma page!

Yesss - Paper Issues

La Spring Crop de Paper Issues bat son plein et j'ai une nouvelle page à partager réalisée pour le Let's Celebrate Cassie challenge. Pour ce challenge en l'honneur de Cassie Box, il faut réaliser un projet avec des rayures, des superpositions, des pois, des couleurs vives ou encore de la twine. Pour ma page, j'ai utilisé la collection Sunshine & Good Times d'Amy Tangerine et American Crafts ainsi qu'une photo des filles devant une fresque colorée de Belfast l'année dernière.

The Paper Issues Spring Crop is in full swing and I have a new crop layout to share with you today. I was inspired by the Let's Celebrate Cassie challenge that is all about creating a project using stripes, layers, dots, bright colors or twine in the style of Cassie Box. For my layout, I used the Sunshine & Good Times line by Amy Tangerine & American Crafts and a colorful photo of my girls in front of a mural in Belfast last year.

J'ai commencé par découper des bandes en bas de plusieurs feuilles 30x30 de la collection. Je les ai recourbées légèrement pour apporter du relief et je les ai collées sur le papier de fond. J'ai ensuite matté la photo avec plusieurs feuilles du paper pad et un napperon et je l'ai placée sur mes bandes avec des carrés de mousse 3D. Je l'ai ornée de fleurs, d'un fanion et d'onglets découpés dans le paper pad.

I started by cutting strips at the bottom of several 12x12 papers. I folded them up a bit for dimension and adhered them on the background paper. Next, I backed the photo using colorful papers from the 6x6 pad and a doily from my stash and I placed it on the strips with foam squares. I then adorned it with a pennant, flowers and tabs that I cut in 6x6 papers.

Pour le titre, j'ai utilisé un mot autocollant de la collection que j'ai coupé en deux et que j'ai placé le long d'une bande de part et d'autre de la photo. J'ai terminé ma page en parsemant le fond de boutons en bois Artemio, d'enamel dots et de cœurs autocollants de la collection Millie & June de Fancy Pants.

For the title, I used a puffy word from the Sunshine and Good Times Thickers pack that I cut in half and that I placed along the top strip on either side of the photo. I finished my layout by scattering Artemio wood buttons and Fancy Pants puffy shapes on the page.

Paper Issues December Roll The Dice

Il y a un tout nouveau Roll the Dice challenge qui vous attend aujourd'hui sur le blog de Paper Issues! Ce mois-ci, Danielle de Konink nous met au défi d'utiliser 5 photos et 4 types d'alphabets différents sur un projet. Pour créer ma page, j'ai utilisé des thickers American Crafts, des papiers de la collection Better Together d'Amy Tangerine, des pompons de la collection Snow and Cocoa de Crate Paper, que j'ai eus dans le swag bag de novembre, ainsi que 5 photos des filles parties poster leur lettre au Père-Noël.

I'm back with a new layout I made for the December Roll the Dice challenge that is up today on the Paper Issues blog. This month, Danielle de Konink is challenging us to use 5 pictures and 4 different types of alphas on a project. I used American Crafts thickers, Amy Tangerine Better Together papers, pom poms from the Snow and Cocoa line by Crate Paper that I got in the November swag bag and 5 photos of the girls sending their letters to Santa.

J'ai cousu un cadre sur la papier de fond avec du fil blanc et j'ai ajouté une bande de papier au centre de la page. J'ai matté la grande photo avec du papier doré et je les ai toutes collées sur la bande de papier avec des carrés de mousse 3D.

I stitched a frame on the background paper using white thread and placed a stip of patterned paper in the center of the page. I matted the big photo with glittery gold paper and adhered all the pics on the strip with foam squares.

J'ai perforé des flocons de neige dans du cardstock blanc, je les ai disséminés sur la page et je les ai ornés de pompons et de thickers pour le titre. Enfin, j'ai ajouté quelques flocons dorés sur la bande centrale.

I punched snowflakes in white cardstock, sprinkled them on the page and embellished them with pom poms and thickers to make the title. Finally, I added a couple of gold snowflakes on and around the photos.

Paper Issues December Pinspire Me Challenge

J'ai été inspirée par les couleurs et les motifs de Noël du mood board. J'ai utilisé des papiers des collections Saturday de Dear Lizzy et Stitched d'Amy Tangerine ainsi que des photos de ma petite dernière parée pour Noël.

I'm back with a new page I made for the December Pinspire Me challenge that is up today on the Paper Issues blog. I was inspired by the Christmas colors and patterns of the beautiful mood board. I used papers from the Dear Lizzy Saturday and Amy Tangerine Stitched lines along with photos of my little one all set for Christmas.

J'ai découpé les "h" du titre dans des papiers à motif et j'ai utilisé les photos pour les "o". J'ai glissé des triangles verts derrière les lettres en guise de sapins.

I used hand cut letters and the photos to create the title. I also made Christmas trees using green triangles and placed them behind the letters.

J'ai également fait des boules de Noël en cousant des lignes au bout desquelles j'ai ajouté des cercles de cardstock blanc. J'ai orné les fils d'enamel dots et les boules d'étoiles en papier, d'un nœud et d'un bouton.

I also made baubles with a bit of stitching, enamel dots, cardstock circles, paper stars, a bow and a button.

I'm back with a new layout inspired by Paper Issues' Scraplift Sunday. This week, we are lifting a beautiful page by Michelle Gallant. I used Amy Tangerine, Pebbles and Pinkfresh Studio supplies, along with a sweet fall picture of my little one snapped a couple of weeks ago.

J'adore utiliser des motifs découpés dans des papiers sur mes pages. Ici, j'ai découpé des feuilles et des fleurs dans des papiers Amy Tangerine et les ai disséminés autour de la photo avec des découpes et des stickers Pinkfresh Studio. J'ai utilisé des papiers à motif Pebbles et Amy Tangerine pour le fond, matté la photo avec des feuilles de la collection Indigo Hills de Pinkfresh Studio et j'ai terminé en ajoutant des enamel dots et des papillons en toile.

I love using fussy cut items on my projects. Here, I cut out flowers and leaves from Amy Tangerine papers and scattered them around the photo, along with Pinkfresh Studio die cuts and stickers. I used Pebbles and Amy Tangerine patterned papers for the background, matted the photo with Indigo Hills papers and added enamel dots and a couple of burlap butterflies.

Pour le journaling, j'ai repris une phrase que m'a dite ma petite puce il y a quelques semaines lors d'une balade: "Elles sont pas mortes, les feuilles. Elles sont juste fatiguées. Elles se reposent." Trop mignon!

The journaling is all about something my little one told me about dead leaves a few weeks ago, during one of our walks: "The leaves aren't dead. They're just tired. They're having a rest." So sweet!

J'ai une nouvelle page 30x30 à partager avec vous aujourd'hui, inspirée par l'August Issue de Paper Issues intitulée Let's Go for the Gold. J'ai donc choisi de scrapper une photo de notre voyage en Espagne au printemps dernier et j'ai ajouté une petite touche de doré à ma page avec un cœur en chipboard.

Inspirée par la grande roue que l'on voit sur la photo, je suis partie sur l'idée d'une page aux couleurs de l'arc-en-ciel en découpant des motifs dans des papiers de différentes collections Amy Tangerine et Dear Lizzy et en les regroupant selon leur couleur. J'ai étalé du gesso sur le papier de fond avec une vieille carte de fidélité pour bien faire ressortir les couleurs. J'ai dessiné puis découpé les lettres et ajouté des badges Feed Your Craft sur certaines d'entre elles. J'ai terminé en ajoutant quelques enamel dots assortis aux couleurs des papiers environnants.

I have a new 12x12 page to share with you today, inspired by the Paper Issues August Issue, Let's Go for the Gold. I was drawn to the travel theme and used a photo of our trip to Spain last spring. I also added a tiny touch of gold to my page with a chipboard heart.

I was inspired by the Ferris wheel on the photo and decided to go for a rainbow-colored layout by placing the papers and embellies on the page according to their color. I used patterns, shapes and letters that I cut in papers from various Amy Tangerine and Dear Lizzy collections, enamel dots and Feed Your Craft mini flair. I also spread some gesso on the cardstock with an old store card to make the colors pop.

Ici, les vacances d'été ont officiellement commencé: les filles ont eu leur dernier jour d'école mardi dernier et le soleil avait enfin fait son apparition, jusqu'à aujourd'hui où il a laissé place à la pluie! On a quand même bien profité du grand air et du soleil cette semaine avec de nombreuses balades et une virée glace, comme en témoigne la photo que j'ai utilisée sur la page que j'ai à partager avec vous aujourd'hui!

C'est une page en format A4 réalisée avec des papiers de la collection Fancy Free, des thickers Amy Tangerine et une grande photo des filles. Je me suis inspirée du July Take 5 Challenge de Paper Issues où il fallait utiliser cinq éléments d'une liste sur un projet. J'ai choisi du cardstock, des papiers à motif, des lettres, des sequins et des pois. J'ai utilisé les cercles du papier 03 de Fancy Free pour créer un nuage et un soleil auquel j'ai ajouté des rayons avec quelques points de couture et des sequins. J'ai également découpé des fleurs dans le papier 07 et des carrés dans le papier 06 que j'ai collés en haut et en bas de la page et sur lesquels j'ai ajouté des thickers pour le titre.

Summer officially started this week for us: the girls had their last day of school last Tuesday and the sun finally showed up. Well, that was until today since it's raining now! However, the girls and I enjoyed the sun and the fresh air all week long with a trip to the ice cream van last Friday. That's what the photo I used on my latest layout is all about!

It's a 8.5x11 page using Fancy Free papers, Amy Tangerine thickers and a large pic of the girls. I played along with Paper Issues' July Take 5 Challenge and I picked the following five items from the list: cardstock, patterned paper, alpha letters, sequins and polka dots. I used the circles from Fancy Free Paper 03 to make a cloud and a sun and stitched a couple of sunbeams with sequins. I also cut flowers from Paper 07 and squares from Paper 06 that I placed at the top and at the bottom of the page, along with thickers for the title.

Je suis de passage aujourd'hui pour partager une carte colorée pour la Fête des Pères. J'ai découpé une bande dans le papier 06 de la collection Fancy Free de Pink Paislee pour la base de la carte et j'ai utilisé chaque carré comme une case que j'ai remplie avec différents embellissements: une banderole coupée en deux, des thickers, des enamel dots et des demi-cercles découpés dans un papier à motif. J'ai utilisé de la mousse 3D pour faire ressortir les différents éléments.

To make the basis for the card, I cut a strip in paper 06 from Pink Paislee Fancy Free and I adorned each square with various embellishments: a banner cut in half, thickers, enamel dots and patterned paper semi-circles. I adhered the paper items with foam tape to make them pop from the card.

De passage aujourd'hui pour partager une nouvelle page A4 avec une photo prise lors de notre voyage en Espagne, à Salou. J'aime beaucoup les motifs en ton sur ton, blancs notamment, et, sur cette page, j'ai voulu expérimenter le ton sur ton en noir.

Pour créer cette page, j'ai utilisé des papiers de la collection Better Together d'Amy Tangerine ainsi qu'un badge Feed Your Craft, j'ai découpé des cœurs, une fleur et les lettres du titre et j'ai collé les cœurs avec des carrés de mousse 3D pour les faire ressortir. J'ai également placé les cœurs à pois blancs de manière à former un 2 pour faire écho au titre.

I'm stopping by today to share a new 8.5x11 page with a photo that I took during our trip to Spain, in Salou. I love white on white patterns on scrapbooking projects and, here, I wanted to experiment with black on black.

To make this layout, I used Amy Tangerine Better Together papers, a mini flair badge from Feed Your Craft, hand cut hearts and letters and I adhered the hearts with foam squares to make them pop out against the black cardstock. I also placed the polka dot hearts so as to make the number 2 to echo the title.

Je commence la semaine avec une nouvelle page inspirée par le Just Say No to Kids Challenge pour la Spring Crop de Paper Issues où il fallait scrapper tout sauf ses enfants. J'ai donc choisi une photo prise il y a 5 ans lors d'un voyage à New York et qui reflète mon amour pour les viennoiseries!

Pour réaliser cette page, j'ai commencé par faire un cadre sur le cardstock avec du Color Shine Blush et un pinceau. J'ai collé la photo au centre de la page avec des carrés de mousse 3D et ai placé tout autour des carrés découpés dans des feuilles de paper pad (de la collection Stitched d'Amy Tangerine). J'ai ensuite dessiné puis découpé les lettres du titre dans des papiers imprimés provenant du même paper pad et les ai collées sur les carrés, en décorant quelques lettres avec des enamel dots. J'ai terminé en ajoutant des fleurs dans deux coins opposés de la page ainsi que des nuages avec le journaling et quelques embellissements sur la photo.

I have a new layout to share with you to start off the week. It was inspired by the Just Say No to Kids Challenge for the Paper Issues Spring Crop. The rule was to create a page about anything except kids or pets. I chose a picture snapped 5 years ago during a trip to New York reflecting my love for pastries!

To create this layout, I started with making a frame on the cardstock using some Blush Color Shine and a paintbrush. I adhered the photo in the middle of the page with foam squares and placed paper squares that I cut in 6x6 pad sheets (from the Stitched collection by Amy Tangerine) all around it. I then sticked handcut letters on the squares to create the title and adorned some letters with enamel dots. Finally, I added fussy cut flowers on two opposite corners of the page as well as fussy cut clouds with a few words of journaling and a couple of embellies on the photo.

J'espère que votre weekend s'est bien passé. :)

Pour commencer cette nouvelle semaine, je viens vous montrer une page haute en couleurs, avec des papiers de la collection Finders Keepers d'Amy Tangerine. J'ai ressorti des photos de l'été dernier, alors que ma petite dernière improvisait une petite danse sur la plage. Les paroles de la chanson "Let's Dance" de David Bowie convenaient donc particulièrement bien à la situation!

Comme à mon habitude, la page fait la part belle aux papiers avec des fleurs et des feuilles découpées dans des papiers imprimés. Pour réaliser les bordures des triangles en haut de la page et du rectangle en bas, je me suis servie des bandes que l'on trouve en bas des feuilles 30x30. J'ai collé ces dernières ainsi que les photos avec des carrés de mousse 3D et j'ai incurvé les fleurs et les feuilles en les collant légèrement pour apporter du relief à l'ensemble.

I'm starting off this new week with a colorful layout using Amy Tangerine Finders Keepers papers and lyrics from David Bowie's 'Let's Dance' that go really well with the pictures of my little one dancing on the beach last summer.

Like most of my projects, this page uses lots of paper, with flowers and leaves that I fussy cut from sheets of patterned paper. To make the borders of the triangles at the top and of the rectangle at the bottom of the page, I used the strips that come at the bottom of the 12x12 sheets of patterned paper. I adhered them, along with the pictures, with foam squares and I only used a tiny bit of glue on the flowers and the feathers to give dimension to the page.

Elle répond au Take Five challenge de Paper Issues où il fallait utiliser cinq éléments d'une liste sur un projet. J'ai donc choisi la couleur rouge, le cœur, le papier imprimé, la flèche et le bois.

Comme je le fais souvent pour mes cartes, je me suis servie d'une feuille de paper pad pliée en deux comme base. J'ai ensuite coupé un rectangle dans un papier imprimé et ai cousu les bords avec du fil blanc en laissant apparaître les restes de fil. J'ai dessiné puis découpé les lettres du mot "love" dans différents papiers imprimés. J'ai ensuite collé légèrement le rectangle puis les lettres sur la base. Après avoir coupé des fleurs dans une feuille 30x30, je les ai placées de part et d'autre du rectangle. J'ai fini par ajouter des découpes en bois sur deux des lettres.

Je suis très contente du résultat. J'aime beaucoup son petit côté déstructuré. J'espère qu'elle plaira aussi à mon Valentin!

I'm popping in to share a Valentine's Day card I made with Amy Tangerine papers. I'm playing along with Paper Issues' Take Five challenge for which you have to choose five items from a list and use them on a project. I picked the color red, the heart, patterned paper, the arrow and wood grain.

I started with folding a paper pad sheet in half to make the basis for the card. Then I trimmed a rectangle in a piece of patterned paper and stitched the edges with white thread. I drew and cut the letters in paper pad sheets and sticked them lightly on the basis, along with the stitched rectangle. I fussycut some flowers in a 12x12 paper sheet and placed them on either side of the card. Finally, I added the wood veneer pieces on two of the letters.

I'm really happy with how it turned out. I like its deconstucted look. Hope my Valentine will like it too!

C'est ce que je compte faire avec cette carte que j'ai réalisée avec des papiers de la collection Rise and Shine d'Amy Tangerine, des chiffres que j'ai dessinés puis coupés, un badge et quelques taches d'encre.

J'espère que vous allez bien!

J'ai une nouvelle page à partager avec vous aujourd'hui. C'est une page à l'allure estivale et haute en couleurs avec une photo à croquer de ma petite dernière en pleine patouille dans la piscine gonflable au mois de juillet dernier.

Pour réaliser cette page, j'ai commencé par tracer et découper des cœurs de deux tailles différentes dans des papiers Amy Tangerine et Dear Lizzy. Après avoir vaporisé et laissé sécher du Color Shine rose sur le papier de fond, j'ai plié légèrement les cœurs et ai disposé les plus grands en rond. Après avoir cousu les bords de la photo avec du fil jaune, je l'ai collée, avec des carrés de mousse 3D, au centre de ma ronde de cœurs, par dessus un napperon. J'ai ensuite ajouté les cœurs les plus petits sur lesquels j'ai collé des thickers pour créer le titre. Pour finir, j'ai décoré la photo d'une fleur faite à l'aide d'un tampon cœur et d'un thicker et j'ai fait des taches à l'encre noire.

Je crois bien que je suis accro aux cœurs: il y a tellement de manières de les utiliser! Et vous, vous avez des embellissements préférés?

How are you today?

I have a new page to share with you. It's a bright and colorful layout with a cute picture of my little one having fun in the pool last July.

To create this page, I first draw and cut hearts in two different sizes in Amy Tangerine and Dear Lizzy papers. I sprayed some pink Color Shine on the background paper and, once it was dry, I slightly curved the big hearts and placed them in a circle on the page. I stitched the edges of the photo using yellow thread and sticked it using foam pads in the middle of the circle of hearts, on top of a paper doily. I then placed the smaller hearts on the circle and added thickers to them to create the title. Finally, I adorned the picture with a flower that I made using a heart stamp and a thicker and I made stains with black ink.

I love adding hearts on my projects: there are so many ways to use them! Do you have a favorite embellishment?
