Shine - Pink Paislee

Je suis de passage aujourd'hui pour partager une nouvelle page que vous pouvez retrouver aujourd'hui sur le blog de Pink Paislee. J'ai vu les choses en grand avec une photo de format A4 prise sur la plage il y a quelques années que j'ai associée à la très jolie collection Turn the Page.

I'm popping in today to share a new layout that is up today on the Pink Paislee blog. I went big and scrapped an 8.5x11'' photo snapped on the beach a few years ago paired with the super pretty Turn the Page collection.

J'aime beaucoup utiliser de grandes photos et trouver des façons originales de les intégrer à mes pages. Ici, j'ai été inspirée par la photo et j'ai décidé d'agrandir la scène à la page entière avec un soleil, des nuages et des oiseaux.

I like using large photos on my layouts and finding fun ways to integrate them in my designs. For this layout, I was inspired by the picture and decided to create a beach scene on my page with clouds, birds, and a sun.

Pour aller avec ma photo, je suis partie sur du bleu pour le fond et j'ai choisi le papier 12. J'ai ensuite commencé à faire des nuages à ajouter en haut de la photo. J'ai dessiné des cercles de deux tailles différentes dans plusieurs feuilles du paper pad Turn the Page, je les ai découpés avec des ciseaux de précision et je les ai à nouveau coupés en deux pour obtenir des demi-cercles. Avant de la coller à gauche de la page, j'ai cousu deux lignes en haut de la photo avec du fil blanc afin de créer des ornements qui pendent des nuages.

To go with my photo, I went with blue for the background and picked Paper 12. I then got busy making clouds to add at the top of the photo. I drew circles in two different sizes in several papers from the Turn the Page 6x6 paper pad, cut them with craft scissors, and cut them again in half to get semi circles. Before adhering my photo on the left side of the page, I hand stitched two little lines at the top of the picture with white thread so as to make ornaments hanging down from the clouds.

Pour former mes nuages, j'ai recourbé les demi-cercles en papier et je les ai collés en haut de la photo comme des tuiles. J'ai ensuite orné mes lignes cousues à la main avec des oiseaux et des étoiles en chipboard. Pour le soleil, j'ai utilisé une carte du journaling spot pack, j'y ai ajouté des Thickers de la collection Pick-Me-Up pour le titre et je l'ai placé sous mes nuages en papier.

Time to stick those clouds down! I bent my semi circles up for dimension and placed them like scallops at the top of the photo. I then completed my hanging ornaments by adding cute chipboard birds and stars on the hand stitched lines. To make the sun, I used a card from the journaling spot pack, added Pick-Me-Up foam Thickers for the title, and placed it under my paper clouds.

Pour les rayons, j'ai glissé des bandes de papier sous la carte de journaling. Ici encore, j'ai recourbé légèrement les bandes avant de les coller pour apporter du relief à la page. J'ai également embelli la photo avec un panneau en chipboard, une jolie découpe florale et des fleurs autocollantes. Pour terminer ma page estivale, j'ai ajouté une touche scintillante avec quelques étoiles en chipboard et des stickers dorés du sticker book Turn the Page.

For the sunbeams, I tucked patterned paper strips under the journaling spot. Here again I bent the strips up a bit before sticking them down to give more dimension to the page. I also adorned the photo with a chipboard sign, a pretty floral die cut, and cute puffy flowers. I finished my summer layout by adding a bit of shine with gold chipboard stars and shiny stickers from the Turn the Page sticker book.
