Hello everyone!

I hope you are doing well! I'm popping in today to share a new layout with you. I just got my hands on the new Horizon collection by Paige Evans and Pink Paislee and I love its happy colors and pretty patterns. With its travel-themed phrases and icons, it's great for vacation projects. So I made a bright page about our trip to Italy two years ago with a photo of my girls snapped in Florence.

J'espère que vous allez bien! Je suis de passage aujourd'hui pour partager une toute nouvelle page. J'ai mis la main sur la nouvelle collection Horizon de Paige Evans et Pink Paislee et j'adore ses belles couleurs pleines de gaieté. Avec ses expressions et ses motifs sur le thème du voyage, elle est parfaite pour les projets liés aux vacances. J'ai donc fait une page colorée sur notre voyage en Italie il y a deux ans avec une photo des filles prise à Florence.

I started my layout by looking for a background and decided to combine Paper 3 and Paper 15. I cut the colorful Paper 3 in half and then hand stitched it with white thread following the patterns. I placed it at the top of Paper 15 and tucked scallops that I fussy cut in the Horizon 6x8 paper pad under it to create a border. I like the bit of shine those gold foiled scallops bring to the page!

J'ai commencé par chercher un fond et j'ai finalement décidé d'associer les papiers 3 et 15. J'ai coupé le papier 3 en deux et je l'ai cousu avec du fil blanc en suivant les motifs. Je l'ai ensuite collé en haut du papier 15 et je l'ai orné de festons découpés dans une feuille du paper pad. J'aime la touche scintillante qu'apportent les dorures de ces festons!

I adhered the photo with foam squares and then moved on to embellishing my layout. I tucked a couple of die cuts under the picture and placed more cute pieces from the ephemera pack on either side of the photo. I also added two pretty butterflies at the top of the page. I went with the tone-on-tone technique and used blue embellies on the right side of the page and pink ones on the left side following the background colors. So fun! Finally, I added the title at the bottom of the page. I topped a beautiful Horizon flower with a chipboard word, adorned my title cluster with leaves from the floral embellishment pack and a chipboard flower and my page was complete.

J'ai collé la photo avec des carrés de mousse 3D et je me suis ensuite affairée à embellir ma page. J'ai glissé quelques die-cuts sous la photo et j'ai disposé d'autres découpes de l'ephemera pack de chaque côté. J'ai également ajouté deux jolis papillons en haut de la page. J'ai utilisé des embellissements en ton sur ton en suivant les couleurs du fond: rose à gauche et bleu à droite. Pour terminer, j'ai ajouté le titre en bas de la page. J'ai superposé un mot en chipboard sur une belle fleur de la collection et j'ai orné le tout d'une fleur en chipboard et de jolies branches.
