La meilleure façon de marcher

Bonjour!

J'espère que vous avez passé un bon weekend. De mon côté, j'ai trouvé un peu de temps pour scrapper une photo prise sur la jetée de Santa Barbara, lors de notre voyage en Californie.

J'ai calé la mise en page sur la photo de manière à ce que les papiers suivent le rondin de bois sur lequel marche ma fille, ce qui donne un côté décalé à la page. J'ai utilisé des papiers imprimés, des transferts et un badge de la collection Jubilee Sherbet de My Mind's Eye et fait quelques points de couture pour les rayons autour de la photo et le cadre sur la moitié de la page.

Le titre vient de la fameuse chanson:
"La meilleure façon de marcher
C'est encore la nôtre
C'est de mettre un pied devant l'autre
Et de recommencer!".
C'est vrai qu'on a beaucoup visité et donc beaucoup marché pendant notre séjour, au grand désespoir de notre grande fille... Mais le soleil était de la partie avec beaucoup de jolis paysages et on a fait de nombreuses pauses gourmandes, ce qui nous a quand même bien aidé!

Happy Sunday! I hope you had a lovely weekend. I had some time yesterday to scrap a picture taken on Santa Barbara's pier, during our trip to California last March.

The whole layout is based on the picture and I arranged the papers so that they follow the beam on which my daughter is walking, which gives a lopsided look to the page. I used papers, rubons and a flair from the MME Jubilee Sherbet collection and I did a bit of stitching for the rays around the photo and the frame on one half of the page.

The title comes from a French scout song that children sing when they go to summer camp. It roughly means: 
"The best way to walk
Is definitely ours
Namely put one foot in front of the other
And do it all over again!".
Actually, we did visit and walk a lot back in California, to our eldest girl's utter despair... But, there again, it was quite sunny with lovely sceneries and we had many breaks and sugary treats to help us keep going!

- embellissements / embellishments: thickers (American Crafts), badge et transferts / flair and rubons (My Mind's Eye-Jubilee Sherbet), sequins, fil / thread, stylo noir / black pen.
