My Little Pony

Bonjour!

Hello!

Here is a layout about my elder daughter. She is a huge fan of 'My Little Pony' and had her dream come true a week ago when she rode a little pony for real!

I played along the July Sketch Challenge on the My Mind's Eye blog and followed a sketch by Ronda Palazzari.

The sketch:

Walking

Bonjour!

Hi!

Today, I'd like to show you a layout with Crate Paper and American Crafts papers. The pictures were taken last Sunday when my 20 months old daughter (finally!) decided to walk (holding hands but that's a good start!).

Like in the last layout I shared, I used a badly-printed photo: I think my printer is going on the blink but it has been of good use with all the photos I printed with it...!
To add a worn out and vintage touch to the page, I sanded/tore the edges of the papers and I applied a tiny bit of gesso with a brush on the blue and red papers (to tone down the colors).
I also added my journaling on the back of the tag on the bottom left-hand corner of the page.

 Quelques détails / A few close-ups:

Matériel / supplies:
-papiers / papers: American Crafts (Dear Lizzy Lucky Charm), Crate Paper (Maggie Holmes).
- embellissements / embellishments: alphabets / alpha stickers (My Little Shoebox), découpes bois / wood veneers (Zénatytude), tampons / stamps (American Crafts roller date, Pink Paisley-Indigo Bleu), Distress Ink Bundled Sage, étiquette / tag, stylo gel noir / black pen.

Merci de votre passage! Thanks for stopping by!

Goldilocks

Bonjour!

Hello!

I'm back today with a layout on my elder daughter who was only two years old back then. She seems so tiny on this picture: she really has grown up but she still has her blond locks! ^^

On this page, I used the same photo twice. I actually didn't retouch the bluish one. It's just that my printer needed some more yellow ink! So I printed the photo again after changing the cartridge and I just felt like using the first one as well...

To make this layout, my scissors were in the firing line! Cutting the decorative tape following the chevron pattern was no easy task with the tape sticking to the fingers or tangling up. So I stuck it on a sheet of paper just the time to cut it up without any trouble. I also cut strips of patterned papers with wavy paper edger scissors to recall the idea of locks. As for the frame around the first picture, I used the binding strips of papers at the top of the MME Cambridge Court paper pad.

Un gros plan / a close-up:

Matériel / supplies:
- papiers / papers: American Crafts, Bazzill, My Mind's Eye (Cambridge Court, Collectable Memorable, Oxford Lane).
- embellissements / embellishments: alphabet / alpha stickers (American Crafts-Black Tie), autocollants / stickers & brad (My Mind's Eye-The Sweetest Thing Honey), enamel dots (My Mind's Eye-Collectable & Sky's the Limit), decorative tape (My Mind's Eye), tampon / stamp (American Crafts roller date, My Mind's Eye-Sky's the Limit), sequins.

Bonne semaine et à bientôt!
Have a great week! Bye for now!

Birthday card

Bonjour!

Hi!

A quick hello to show you a card I sent my dad for his birthday. Well, I must admit that the stamp I used  would be more appropriate for a lover than a parent (I very rarely call my dad 'my love' ^^) but I think he got the message anyway!

Matériel / supplies:
- papiers / papers: cardstock, My Mind's Eye (Collectable Memorable).
- embellissements / embellishments: alphabet / alpha stickers (American Crafts), tampon / stamp (Zénatytude), sequins, twine, Distress Ink Vintage Photo.

Merci de votre visite! Thanks for stopping by!

You are my sunshine, my only sunshine

Bonjour!

Hi there!

I'm back today with a layout I made following the July Challenge on the My Mind's Eye blog. We had to use red, white and blue for Independence Day. And, as it is National Day today in France and as the French colors are the same, it's just perfect!

I used pictures of my daughters with their dad who, during a walk, wanted to prove he could carry both girls at the same time (in dad-is-the-strongest mode!). And, indeed, he managed it... but only the time of a few photos!

To make this layout, I started with painting rays with gesso and I added a doily in the middle. I then placed my strips of papers in the shape of a star on the doily and tied the lot to the background paper with a brad. I arranged my pictures and slightly glued them on top of this paper sun, used some stamps on the rays of gesso, placed some flowers and enamel dots following the patterns of the background paper and finally added the title (a layered sticker cut in half).

Matériel / supplies:
- papiers / papers: My Mind's Eye (Lost & Found 3 Ruby, The Sweetest Thing Bluebell).
- embellissements / embellishments: autocollant en relief / layered sticker & brad (My Mind's Eye-Sky's the Limit), tampon / stamp (My Mind's Eye-Sky's the Limit), enamel dots (My Mind's Eye-Collectable), fleurs / flowers (Zénatytude), strass / rhinestones (Artemio), demi-perles / candy dots, napperon / doily, gesso.

A bientôt! Bye for now! :)

Girly birthday card

Bonjour!

Hello!

It's been a while since I last updated my blog! So I'm back today with a very girly birthday card for my elder daughter who turned 6 at the beginning of July. I really like using pictures on my cards. Here, I sticked photos of my princess, who was still 5 then, on a tag.

I colored the tag with Distress Ink Worn Lipstick on one side...

and used a stamp (with pink ink of course: princess right to the end!) on the other side.

Matériel / supplies:
- papiers / papers: Bazzill, Canson, Simple Stories (Vintage Bliss).
- embellissements / embellishments: alphabets & mots autocollants / alpha & word stickers (My Mind's Eye-Sky's the Limit & The Sweetest Thing, Simple Stories-Vintage Bliss), strass / rhinestones (Artemio), ruban / ribbon, tampon / stamp (Kaisercraft), Distress Ink Worn Lipstick.
