Winter Walk

Bonjour!

Hi there!

I hope you are having a good week so far!

For my 100th post on the blog (yay!), I am sharing a flowery layout: flowers that I cut from some printed papers (from various MME collections), flowers I made myself, fabric flowers as well as die cuts.

As the title reads, the photos were taken during a walk in the forest this winter. So, this colorful flowerbed gives a bit of brightness to these winter pictures as well as a little foretaste of spring!

Matériel / supplies:
- papiers / papers: My Mind's Eye (Jubilee Sherbet, Market Street Ashbury Heights, Necessities Wood, Now & Then Mildred).
- embellissements / embellishments: découpes en papier / die cuts (My Mind's Eye-Jubilee Mint Julep), brads (My Mind's Eye-Jubilee Sherbet), enamel dots (My Mind's Eye-Just Record It Charmed; Now & Then Mildred), bouton / button (My Mind's Eye-Market Street Ashbury Heights), fleurs / flowers (Petaloo), gesso, stylo noir / black pen.

Check out my new pink glasses

Bonjour!

Hi!

I'm back with a new and colorful page to finish off the week. This time, I drew my inspiration from a lovely layout by Paige Evans.

I drew the letters on a printed paper and cut them out. I lightly glued them on the background card stock so that the title almost stretches to the whole page. I used some bright and fun Amy Tangerine papers and these glittery pink thickers from American Crafts that I'm really fond of. I added only a few embellies around the picture as the title already is an embellishment of its own.

Tête à tête

Bonjour!

Hello!

I hope you had a good weekend!

The page I'm sharing today has a lingering sense of Valentine's Day with all those hearts and lots of 'love'! And it was actually inspired by a beautiful layout by Stephanie Bryan.

I drew and cut the hearts in some papers coming from various MME paper pads. I stitched some of them and adhered others to the page with 3D foam pads. I wrote the title and the date on two of them and added some embellies here and there (wood veneers, buttons, enamel dots, brad). I then placed the picture over this lovely mat, stamped more 'love' at the top and at the bottom of the page and finished with a few drops of gold ink.

Inspiration: Stephanie Bryan

Matériel / supplies:
- papiers / papers: Bazzill, My Mind's Eye (Lost & Found 3 Ruby, Lost & Found Record It Heirloom, The Sweetest Thing Honey & Lavender).
- embellissements / embellishments: tampon / stamp (Kesi'Art), découpes en bois / wood veneers (Studio Calico), enamel dots (My Mind's Eye, Lost & Found Record It Heirloom, Record It Charmed), brad (My Mind's Eye-Lost & Found Record It Heirloom), encre / ink (Hero Arts Shadow Ink Gold, Izink Pigment Gold), peinture acrylique / acrylic paint (Louvre), boutons / buttons, fil / thread, sequin, stylo noir / black pen.

Handle with care & love

Bonjour!

Hello!

Today, I am sharing a layout with soft colors and a sprinkle of glitter! The pictures are recent this time since they were taken last Sunday. While we were trying out our new coffee machine, the girls tried out the box... which proved to be a solid one as it's still in one piece! ^^

Quelques détails / Some close-ups:

Matériel / supplies:
- papiers / papers: American Crafts (Amy Tangerine Yes Please), Crate Paper (The Pier, Maggie Holmes Styleboard), We R Memory Keepers.
- embellissements / embellishments: thickers (American Crafts), épingle décorative / decorative pin (Crate Paper-Maggie Holmes Open Book), découpes en bois / wood veneers (Zenatytude), tags, encre en spray / spray ink, stylo noir / black pen.

The 5 of us

Bonjour!

Hi there!

I don't know about you but, for me, making a layout often takes several hours. I have to choose the papers and the embellishments according to the colors of the picture (that part can take a LONG time). I have to think of how I am going to put all of them together on the page. I try something out to finally start again because I am not really pleased with it... There was nothing like that for this layout that came together pretty quickly and easily, without too much thinking. And that felt really good! ^^

Once again, I worked with a black and white photo, which really makes things easier for me: the choosing-the-papers-and-the-embellishments part was A LOT shorter! I mainly used MME supplies coming from various collections and I think they match really nicely.

This family portrait was taken about two years ago. Actually, I don't have a lot of family pictures with the five of us as it's not always easy to get all of us together long enough to take a picture or to find someone to take the picture in the first place! So, when a nice lady proposed to take a snapshot of us while we were having a walk in the forest, we gladly accepted her offer.

Matériel / supplies:
- papiers / papers: Bazzill, My Mind's Eye (Jubilee-Mint Julep, Just Sayin).
- embellissements / embellishments: découpes en papier / die cuts (My Mind's Eye-Jubilee Mint Julep), mots autocollants / word stickers (My Mind's Eye-Find Your Wings & Fly-Sky's the Limit), badge / flair (My Mind's Eye-Market Street Ashbury Heights), enamel dots (My Mind's Eye-Just Record It Charmed), découpe en bois / wood veneer (Studio Calico), encre / ink (Izink Pigment Caviar), twine, stylo noir / black pen.

Bon week-end à vous et à bientôt!
Have a lovely weekend! Bye for now!

Bretagne

Bonjour!

Hi!

My first layout of February is focusing on a picture of my eldest daughter taken almost 3 years ago on a beach in Brittany, the same beach I used to go to with my parents when I was a child. It was in May so there was no going swimming in a nice swimsuit but only making sandcastles in a raincoat... And actually, she didn't seem to mind!

It's a layout all in Crate Paper goodies and with colors I really enjoy using. I felt like working with tags for this one, maybe because they roughly have the same shape as sandcastles. I lined them up under the picture and added strips of journaling as well as a few embellishments.

Matériel / supplies:
- papiers / papers: Crate Paper (Maggie Holmes, Styleboard), Les Editions Infocréa.
- embellissements / embellishments: thickers (American Crafts), découpes en papier / ephemera (Crate Paper-Oh Darling), napperon et épingle décorative / doily and decorative pin (Crate Paper-Maggie Holmes Open Book), cadre / frame (Crate Paper-Maggie Holmes Styleboard), découpes en bois / wood veneers (Studio Calico), enamel dots (My Mind's Eye-Charmed), ruban / ribbon (Celebrate), twine, stylos doré et noir / gold and black pens.

Merci de vous être arrêté par ici! Thanks a lot for stopping by! :)
