You're rad

Bonjour!

Hello!

I hope you're doing great! I have a colorful page to share with you today featuring a few of my scrappy faves: flowers, pink and stitching. I played with the pretty Oh My Heart collection by Paige Evans & Pink Paislee and I used a photo of my little one on her way to the beach last year. So cute!

I started by fussy cutting pretty Oh My Heart flowers, I folded the edges a little bit and sticked them down using only a tiny bit of glue for dimension. Next, I drew arabesques at the top of the page, where I wanted to place the photo. I pierced the paper following the pencil lines, erased them and hand stitched the arabesques using white thread.

I matted the photo using a sheet from the 6x6 pad and a doily and I adhered it at the top of the page with foam squares. I added chipboard banners under the pic for the title and adorned the arabesques with more pretty flowers and a cute chipboard bird. I put the final touch to my page with a couple of burlap butterflies and white enamel dots from my stash.

That's all folks! Thanks for looking and happy Wednesday!

Beautifall

Bonjour!

Hi there!

With fall just around the corner, I felt like making a seasonal page using the pretty Golden Days collection by Fancy Pants and a photo of my youngest girl snapped during a walk last October. I'm playing along with the Paper Issues September Issue called 'Let's Give Them Pumpkin to Talk About'. This month, Lisa Swift asks us to create something to do with fall or use a fall collection for a non-seasonal page. Here is my layout!

I started by layering a doily and sheets from the 6x6 pad at the top of the background paper. I matted the pic and sticked it on the layers with foam squares. For the title, I used pretty Golden Days letters that I placed under the photo with foam squares to make them pop.

I drew some leaves using a template on several Golden Days 6x6 papers and cut them with my craft scissors. I folded the edges a little bit for dimension and placed them under the title. Finally, I adorned the page with lovely embellies from the range: acetate die cuts, puffy hearts and dots, a paper clip and an Artemio wood veneer leaf. I love how everything pops against the dark background!

Love You - Cocoa Vanilla Studio

Hi everyone!

It's all about stickers on the Cocoa Vanilla Studio blog this week! Today, it's my turn to share my take using the gorgeous Wild at Heart collection, including chipboard and accessory stickers, along with a photo of my oldest daughter snapped in Turin last spring.

As I had no precise idea or design in mind , I started by gathering the supplies that I wanted to use and that would go with my pic. The gorgeous Luscious and Grow Wild papers would be great for the background and I just had to include pretty fussy cut flowers from the Memento sheet!

After a little brainstorming session, I decided to go for a circular design. I drew a circle at the top of the Luscious paper, poked holes with a pin following the pencil lines, erased them and stitched along using white thread. I then cut off a part of the Luscious sheet and backed it with the Grow Wild paper.

Next, I matted the photo with a card from the Patchwork cut apart sheet and sticked it in the center of the stitched circle with foam squares. I framed it with a couple of fussy cut flowers from the Memento paper and chipboard frames, including one from the chipboard stickers sheet. The Wild at Heart color palette is just perfect for this lovely photo of my girl!

For the title, I used chipboard alphabet stickers that I placed on the stitched circle. I love how soft these pink on pink letters look! I then added more Wild at Heart stickers to embellish my page. I adorned the pic with a pennant and a tab from the accessory stickers sheet and I placed chipboard hearts and word stickers on the frames. I also added chipboard butterflies on the fussy cut flowers and tucked a label sticker under the photo.

I felt like my page needed a little something more and I decided to use the scraps from the Luscious paper I used for the background. I cut the corner I had left in half, folded the edges a little bit and I placed it on my layout with the floral pattern facing up. Last but not least, I added a bit of shine to my page with a couple of Wild at Heart enamel dots. These sparkly beauties are the perfect finishing touch!

I hope my page inspires you to play with CVS stickers and with the beautiful Wild at Heart line! Thank you so much for visiting my blog today! Have a fantastic day!

Today

Bonjour!

Hi!

The girls went back to school almost two weeks ago and I finally scrapped their back-to-school photo! I played along with the Paper Issues Pinspire Me challenge and took inspiration from the September mood board using the Lovely Day and Saturday collections by Dear Lizzy & American Crafts. Here is my page!

I started by placing three colorful paper strips at the top of the background paper. I matted the photo and layered it on a doily and a black and white paper from the Lovely Day 6x6 pad using foam squares for dimension.

Next, I got busy embellishing my page with fussy cut flowers from the Lovely Day line, die cuts, a tag that I cut out in a Lovely Day 6x6 paper, wood buttons, Saturday thickers and puffy hearts from the Fancy Pants Millie & June collection. I also used numbers from the Lovely Day ephemera pack for the date and I finished off my layout by adding a Saturday word thicker at the bottom of the page for the title. I love the contrast between the colorful papers, the black title and the black & white photo!

Sweet life

Hello scrappy peeps!

I hope you're having a great weekend! I'm already back with a new page featuring the Take Me Away collection by Paige Evans & Pink Paislee as well as a photo of the girls snapped in Carrowmore, a megalithic cemetery in Ireland. I also used a cut file that Paige sent me when I won her Take Me Away giveaway. It's actually the first time I'm using a cut file. It took a little while to back but I love the result!

I cut the file in half and backed it with colorful papers from the Take Me Away 6x6 pad. Next, I cut a frame in the paper #03 and sticked it on a white cardstock sheet. I then placed the two parts of the cut file on each side of the background paper. I really like the softness of the Take Me Away color palette and of the white file against the white background!

I matted the pic with a 6x6 paper and sticked it in the center of the page with foam squares to make it pop a bit more. For the title, I used mirror alpha stickers from the range that I placed above and under the photo, along with typed journaling strips and a pretty Take Me Away bow. I finished off my layout by adding chipboard leaves and white enamel dots on some of the flowers.

Merci beaucoup de votre visite! Je vous souhaite une excellente journée!

Daydreaming

Bonjour!

Hi!

I hope you are doing well! I'd like to share a new page with you today. I played along with the Paper Issues Sketchy Saturday challenge and took inspiration from the September sketch. I used the Moonstruck line by Pink Paislee and a photo of my little one posing in front of a mural in Cushendall, one of the beautiful places we visited during our recent trip to Ireland.

I started my page by sticking down a patterned paper strip on the left hand side of the beautiful background paper. I matted the photo with a Moonstruck 6x6 paper and layered it on the strip and on another piece of patterned paper from the 6x6 pad. I love the way the picture stands out against the black paper strip! I tucked a card from the ephemera pack under the pic and added the title using a pretty cork word and thickers from the range.

I adorned the photo with a fussy cut flower, die cuts from the ephemera pack, a doily, a tag, pink thread and a Feed Your Craft flair badge. I placed another card with a bit of journaling at the top of the black paper strip and I finished off my layout by adding more Moonstruck embellies: banners, puffy stickers and cute cork stars.

You Rock, Girl - Cocoa Vanilla Studio

Bonjour!

Hi!

I hope you're enjoying your weekend! I'm back with a girly page that is up today on the Cocoa Vanilla Studio blog. I used the You Rock collection along with a cool pic of my little one snapped in Verona last spring. She rocks, right?!

To echo the brick wall on the pic, I decided to go for a color blocking design using the cute You Rock washi stickers that I placed on a white cardstock sheet. I matted the photo with the Stripped paper and adhered it on the right hand side of my washi wall with foam squares to make it pop.

I backed the white cardstock with the Plus One sheet and its pretty wood grain. I love how it nicely frames the page and gives it more warmth!

For the title, I used one of the You Rock awesome wood veneer words, along with Hello Lovely alphabet stickers, and I placed them near the photo. I even found a way to use the "That's my boy" rubber charm by crossing out the word "boy" with an enamel shape!

My next step was to embellish the page with pretty embellies from the range: wood veneer and paper stars, a lovely flair button and die cuts from the ephemera pack. I also adorned the pic with paper corners and a wood veneer pennant.

I stamped the date on a tab from the accessory stickers sheet, tucked it under the photo and I finished off my layout with droplets of black ink.

I really enjoy using this boy collection and make it work with photos of my girls. I hope this page inspires you to use You Rock for girly projects too! Thank you for joining me today! Have a fantastic day!
