Anniversary card

Bonjour!

Hi there!

The summer holidays are coming to an end, which also means for me the beginning of a one-year training session and less time for scrapbooking... But I'll come back to it as soon as I get the opportunity: I still have lots of scrap supplies patiently waiting for me in the cupboards! ;)

Today, I wanted to share a card I offered my companion for our 10th anniversary. As I don't own a heart puncher, I used wood veneers for the heart patterns. I also inked the edges of the papers with some Distress Ink Pumice Stone.

Matériel / supplies:
- papiers / papers: cardstock (Mahé), Kaisercraft (Periwinkle), My Mind's Eye (Lost & Found 3 Ruby, Nostalgia, The Sweetest Thing Lavender).
- embellissements / embellishments: chiffres autocollants / number stickers (American Crafts thickers), tampons / stamps (American Crafts roller date, Zenatytude), strass / rhinestone, Distress Ink Pumice Stone.

Thank you so much for stopping by! Bye!

Summer 13

Bonjour!

Hello!

I'm back with a layout I made following the August Challenge on the the My Mind's Eye blog. We had to make a recap of our summer. We didn't go on holiday this year but we tried to enjoy the sun and nice activities with the girls as much as possible. There were a few big events for them as well: our elder daughter lost her first tooth and turned 6 and the little one started to walk!

Once again, I sanded the photos and the papers and did some hand stitching: seems like I'm coming to like it after all, even though it takes me quite a while to do! I also retouched the pictures with Pixlr'o'matic.

 Quelques détails / Some close-ups:

Matériel / supplies:
- papiers / papers: cardstock (Mahé), My Mind's Eye (Collectable Unforgettable, The Sweetest Thing Lavender).
- embellissements / embellishments: alphabets / alpha stickers (American Crafts thickers-Black Tie, My Little Shoebox, My Mind's Eye-Sky's the Limit), brad (My Mind's Eye-The Sweetest Thing Honey), bouton / button (My Mind's Eye-Miss Caroline), enamel dot (My Mind's Eye-Sky's the Limit), napperon / doily, étiquettes / tags, fleur / flower (Zenatytude), fil / thread, twine, gesso, stylo gel noir / black pen.

Merci de votre passage! :)

Donne moi ta main

Bonjour!

Hi!

Big news today: my younger daughter finally walks on her own since last week-end! ^^ So, to celebrate this great event, here is another layout with a picture of my two girls where we can see Janelle's radiant smile. She was probably so happy and proud to be able to do like her big sister!

The title "Donne-moi ta main" means ' Give me your hand'. To go with the papers' vintage style, I sanded and distressed their edges. I also tried my hand at stitching again...

Quelques gros plans / Some close-ups:

Matériel / supplies:
-papiers / papers: American Crafts (Dear Lizzy Lucky Charm), Crate Paper (Maggie Holmes, The Pier), My Mind's Eye (Lost & Found 3 Oliver).

Hello dent de fée

Bonjour!

Hi there!

I'm back today to share a layout I made using the new MME collections: Cut & Paste Adorbs and Flair.

Once again, it's a layout about my elder daughter who lost her first tooth about a month ago, just before her 6th birthday. We talked to her about the "petite souris" ( i.e. 'little mouse', the french equivalent to the the tooth fairy) and we also talked about the 'tooth fairy'. She actually got a bit mixed up when she went from English to French and she now says 'dent de fée' (which means 'fairy tooth') instead of "fée des dents" which would be a more accurate translation for 'tooth fairy'! ^^

I really love stitching on layouts. But, as I am really hopeless with a needle and thread, I would just admire it on other crafters' creations... This time around, I decided to give it a try by stitching a few sequins on the page and I actually quite like the way it turned out! :)

Quelques détails / A few details:

Matériel / supplies:
- papiers / papers: cardstock, My Mind's Eye (Cut & Paste-Adorbs, Flair).
- embellissements / embellishments: alphabets / alpha stickers (My Little Shoebox, My Mind's Eye-Sky's the Limit), enamel dots & enamel shapes (My Mind's Eye-Cut & Paste Adorbs), autocollant / decorative sticker & decorative tape (My Mind's Eye-Cut & Paste Adorbs), sequins, fil / thread, trombone / paper clip, encre / ink, agrafes / staples, stylo gel noir / black pen.

Passez une très bonne semaine! :)
Have a great week! :)
