Better together

Bonjour!

Je démarre le mois d'octobre avec une toute nouvelle page réalisée avec la superbe collection Turn the Page de Paige Evans et Pink Paislee. Je viens tout juste de mettre la main dessus et je l'adore! Je me suis amusée avec les washi stickers de la collection ainsi qu'avec une photo prise à Milan au printemps dernier.

Happy October! I'm starting the month with a new layout created with the Turn the Page collection by Paige Evans and Pink Paislee. I just got my hands on this beautiful line and I love it! I had fun with the colorful Turn the Page washi stickers and I used a photo snapped in Milan last spring.

J'avais envie d'utiliser les jolis washi stickers de la collection pour créer un fond et je suis partie sur l'idée du cœur. J'ai placé des bandes de washi de différentes tailles à gauche d'un cardstock blanc de manière à former la moitié d'un cœur. 

I wanted to use the pretty Turn the Page washi stickers to create a background and went for the idea of the heart. I placed different-sized washi strips on the left hand side of a white cardstock sheet so as to make half a heart. 

J'ai cousu deux angles opposés de la photo en ajoutant de jolis sequins en forme de cœurs de la collection et je l'ai mattée avec une feuille du paper pad, un fanion découpé lui aussi dans une des feuilles du paper pad et un napperon. J'ai ensuite collé la photo en bas de mon cœur en washi avec de la mousse 3D et je l'ai ornée de fleurs de l'ephemera pack, de papillons et d'autocollants pour le titre.

I stitched two opposite corners of the pic with white thread and cute heart sequins from the collection. I then matted the photo with patterned paper from the 6x6 pad, a pennant that I cut in another 6x6 paper and a doily from my stash. Next, I sticked the pic at the bottom of my washi heart and adorned it with flowers from the ephemera pack, puffy butterflies & flowers and clear stickers for the title.

J'ai ajouté deux hirondelles en haut du cœur et j'ai terminé avec des bandes de journaling que j'ai collées à droite de la page.

I added two cute birds at the top of the washi heart and finished my layout with typed journaling strips that I placed on the right hand side of the page.
