Partner in crime

Bonjour à tous!

Je termine cette semaine avec une nouvelle page où figurent une photo de mes sorcières bien aimées prise à Halloween 2014 ainsi que des papiers et embellissements de différentes collections Fancy Pants et Maggie Holmes. Je me suis inspirée du Pinspire Me challenge d'octobre de Paper Issues, des couleurs du mood board, de sa sorcière et de son tournesol. Voici ma page!

Hello everyone!

Happy Friday! I'm finsihing off the week with a new page featuring a cute photo of my bewitching girls snapped on Halloween night a couple of years ago as well as Fancy Pants and Maggie Holmes supplies. I played along with the Paper Issues October Pinspire Me challenge and I was inspired by the colors of the mood board, the witch and the sunflower. Here is my layout!

Tout d'abord, j'ai dessiné et découpé des pétales dans plusieurs feuilles de paper pad des collections Styleboard, Bloom, Gather et Chasing Dreams de Maggie Holmes ainsi que des collections Office Suite, Sweet Nothings et Golden Days de Fancy Pants. J'ai ensuite cousu les bords des pétales jaunes avec du fil blanc.

To start with, I drew and cut petals in several 6x6 papers from the Maggie Holmes Styleboard, Bloom, Gather and Chasing Dreams collections as well as from the Office Suite, Sweet Nothings and Golden Days lines by Fancy Pants. Then I stitched the borders of the yellow petals using white thread.

J'ai ensuite matté la photo à l'aide d'une feuille du paper pad Chasing Dreams et je l'ai placée sur deux cercles eux-aussi découpés dans des paper pads Maggie Holmes. J'ai cousu les bords du grand cercle avec du fil blanc et des sequins et j'ai ajouté une bannière autocollante de la collection Chasing Dreams sur le plus petit. J'ai positionné les cercles et la photo à gauche du carton ondulé que j'ai choisi pour le fond et j'ai ajouté les pétales en recourbant légèrement les bords avant de les coller.

Next, I matted the photo with a paper from the Chasing Dreams 6x6 pad and placed it on two circles that I cut in other Maggie Holmes 6x6 papers. I stitched the borders of the big circle with white thread and sequins and added a banner sticker from the Chasing Dreams collection on the smaller one. I adhered the circles and the photo on the left hand side of the kraft corrugated paper that I picked for the background and then added the petals. I folded the edges a little bit before sticking them down to add dimension to my page.

J'ai orné la photo d'autres autocollants Chasing Dreams et d'un puffy sticker de la collection Golden Days de Fancy Pants pour le titre. Pour terminer, j'ai parsemé mon tournesol de quelques embellissements: des die-cuts et puffy stickers de la collection Sweet Nothings de Fancy Pants ainsi que des découpes en bois Artemio.

I adorned the photo with Chasing Dreams stickers and a puffy sticker from the Fancy Pants Golden Days collection for the title. I sprinkled my sunflower with die cuts and puffy stickers from the Fancy Pants Sweet Nothings line, added a couple of wood veneer leaves and my layout was complete!
